This Advisory Note is intended to assist those who are thinking of using or developing land in Victoria but do not fully understand how planning schemes work or what factors to look at when working out whether a particular proposal is feasible (ie whether it is likely to get a permit) or not from a planning perspective.

It is specifically geared towards people who are new to medium density residential development but contains principles relevant to all types of land use or development.

The Advisory Note is also located on our Home page.
